Press Release
New construction company W2 Homes has entered the market with the listing of their first ‘Green-built’ custom home. The 5 bedroom 3 ½ bath home incorporates the four main concepts of a ‘Green-built’ home: Energy-Efficiency, Indoor Air Quality, Conserving Natural Resources, and Water Quality and Protection. Recognized by the US Green Building Council, this Energy Star certified home features many ‘Green-built’ features such as a conditioned attic/crawl space, Icynene foam insulation, Trex composite decking, high SEER HVAC units, low VOC paint, flooring and cabinets made from recycled materials, energy saving lighting, tank-less water heater, low flow water fixtures, and low water indigenous landscaping. The home is located at 3600 Horsemint Trail in the Palomino Gaits subdivision in Zebulon.
W2 Homes LLC owners, Bj Whitesell and Rob Wetzel, have combined their joy for building with their care for protecting the environment into a strategy for elevating those values through the construction of ‘Green-built’ custom homes. Bj Whitesell is a licensed general contractor with a degree in geology from ECU. Rob Wetzel is W2 Homes managing member and also serves as an associate pastor in his local church. Bj and Rob have extensive experience in the building industry and have managed the construction of over 250 homes in Wake County.
W2 Homes LLC was established in June 2007 and is headquartered in Rolesville, NC. They focus on constructing ‘Green-built’ homes that are environmentally friendly and energy efficient, but do not sacrifice the style and design of a custom home. Currently W2 Homes is seeking to promote awareness and raise consumer demand for ‘Green-built’ custom homes in North Carolina.
